Q: What are normal school hours for the High School campus?
8:15am - 3:35pm

Q: What is the student/teacher ratio?
The ratio of students to teachers is 18:1.
Q: What is your dress code?

Q: Do you have school supply lists?
Yes. Supply lists are posted each summer at HCSNM.org/supplies.
Q: Do you require students to have parking permits?
Yes, parking permits can be purchased in the high school office.
Q: How do students get a locker assignment?
Students come in at the end of the summer before school starts and select their own locker. An email will be sent so students know when to come in, according to seniority.
Q: Do you have a tutoring program?
No. However, there are many tutoring resources outside of HOPE that can be used.
Q: Are all of your teachers degreed or certified?
Yes, all of HOPE's teachers are degreed or certified.
Q: What percentage of your students go on to college?
We are pleased to report that 96% of Hope students proceed to college.
Q: Do you have a college counselor?
Yes, we provide college counseling from 9th grade through graduation.
Q: How often do you have chapel?
Students attend chapel once a week.
Q: Do you have a closed campus?
Yes, students are not allowed to go off campus for lunch. However, once a month seniors are permitted to leave campus for lunch on a designated day.
Q: Is your school Accredited?
Yes, HOPE is accredited through the State of New Mexico, ICAA, and Cognia (formerly AdvanceEd).
Q: Can students use cell phones at school?
No, students are not allowed to use cell phones during school hours.
Q: When my child is absent, do I need to call in to the school?
Yes, whenever your student is absent, you must report their absence by emailing [email protected] or calling 505.822.8868.
